GinaMarie Russo, EdS
Registered Marriage and Family Therapist Intern (RMFTI)
Registered Mental Health Counseling Intern (RMHCI)
Hello! I'm Gina, and I'm a Registered Marriage and Family Therapy Intern and Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern. I completed my Masters in Education and Education Specialists degree at the University of Florida, specializing in Marriage and Family Therapy and Mental Health Counseling. I am currently earning hours toward licensure and training in Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS).
I am a collaborative, affirming, and strengths-based clinician who enjoys working with clients from all backgrounds and stages of life. Child or an adult, couple or family, traditional or non, my goal is for my clients to feel seen, safe, and respected in our work. I view my role as a therapist as the container holder and a collaborative partner. I work diligently to ensure my clients feel safe to explore whatever topics may be relevant to their concerns.
As a systemic therapist, that means that addressing diversity, gender, power, and other sociocultural dimensions is also an inherent part of my work. I may bring up connections that you might not have considered. I utilize Internal Family Systems (IFS), mindfulness, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and the enneagram to facilitate intra- and inter-personal awareness, self-acceptance, empathy, and connection. Your story matters, and your diverse experiences are valid, welcome, and important parts of your work.
I truly look forward to working with you.
